Do you have a wax problem?
Wax is an important and natural secretion found in the ear keeping the ear canal lubricated and protected against dust, dirt and bacteria, which helps to prevent infection.
However, too much ear wax can be an issue when blocking the ear canal.
Problems caused by wax
– hearing loss, ringing in the ear, sensation of fullness
Extra problems for HA wearers – hearing aid feedback, reduced sound, blocked moulds.
One of our services is to provide a professional solution for ear wax removal. An appointment can be made by telephoning or emailing. This should be within 7 to 10 days. You may be asked to use olive oil prior to the date.
You will see our specially trained Ear Care Practitioner, Chantelle Weetch. At the start of the appointment a few minutes will be taken to ask questions relating to your general health and the health of your ears.
The procedure is known as micro suction and is the safe method of wax removal. Safety is a priority and we pride ourselves in making the procedure pain free and as comfortable as possible. A digital magnifier and small suction tube will be placed in your ear canal to gently remove the wax. High grade and single use equipment is used, reducing the risk of infections.
Occasionally a tiny specialist tool may be used to gently ease wax from the ear canal.
Once the wax has been removed – the appointment is completed
